Swindon Charity Ball 2019

Members of the IPS team enjoyed a fantastic evening at the Swindon Charity Ball 2019. This year the theme for the black-tie event, held at the Marriott Hotel was “Shanghai Nights”. It was the 30th anniversary of the Ball which has now raised in excess of £1 million for local charities.

IPS Managing Director and Rotarian, Robert Gillespie, was this year’s Swindon Charity Ball Chairman, organising the event for 140 guests which the help of the Marriott Swindon, The Advertiser and other Rotary Club members.

This year the Ball raised approximately £16,000 for distribution amongst eight different local charities in Swindon. These are the Swindon 10-18 project, The Harbour Project, Hreod Burna Urban Forest, Swindon & District Samaritans, Wiltshire Search and Rescue, Friends of TWIGS, Big Breakfast Plus and 12th Swindon Scout Group.

The IPS team enjoyed a three-course oriental style meal and an evening of entertainment including dancers from The Judith Hockaday School of Dance, fan dancing, mask changing and magic, circus contortion and live music from 24/7. All in all, the team had a fantastic evening supporting charitable causes through raffles and auctions held on the night. Thank to all who took part!
